Maidaan एक Biographical Sports Drama Movie है और भारतीय फुटबॉल के स्वर्ण युग (1952-62) को दर्शाती है। इसकी कहानी लोकप्रिय फुटबॉल कोच सैयद अब्दुल रहीम के जीवन पर आधारित है, जिन्होंने 13 वर्षों तक भारतीय फुटबॉल टीम को मैनेज किया और आधुनिक भारतीय फुटबॉल की नींव रखी।
बता दें, इस फिल्म का निर्देशन ‘Amit Sharma’ द्वारा किया गया है और म्यूजिक A. R. Rahman द्वारा दिया गया है। फिल्म में Ajay Devgn, Priyamani और Gajraj Rao जैसे कलाकार मुख्य भूमिका में नजर आ रहे हैं।

Maidaan फिल्म की शुरूआती रिलीज़ 10 April 2024 को की जायेगी और इसके बाद 11 April 2024 को इसे Nationwide रिलीज़ कर दिया जाएगा। फिल्म को Zee Studios, Bayview Projects और Fresh Lime Films ने मिलकर प्रोड्यूस किया है और इसका डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन Zee Studios द्वारा किया जा रहा है।
Bollywood Hungama ने इस फिल्म को 5 में से 4 Star की रेटिंग दी है वहीँ Rediff.com की सुकन्या वर्मा ने इसे 5 में से 2 Star की रेटिंग दी है। हालाँकि पब्लिक को फिल्म का ट्रेलर काफी पसंद आया है और Google Reviews में फिल्म को काफी पॉजिटिव फीडबैक मिल रहा है।
