Arizona में जन्मीं April एक Tomboy के रूप में पली-बढ़ीं और इसके बाद वे एक हाई स्कूल से ग्रेजुएशन (Graduation) करने के लिए Northern New Jersey चलीं गयीं। हालाँकि अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी करके अभिनेत्री वापस अपने घर आ गयीं।
